The cousins are here!

My mother's cousin, Linda, and her 12-year-old son Brad are here to see the Big City. I put them on the train yesterday morning, and they spent the day trudging through the pouring rain to see the sights... at least it's sunny today.

Then last night I went to this fantastic dinner party at Elizabeth's- my white bean dip was seriously outclassed among the homemade pesto, gourmet cheese, chicken cooked on top of eggplant with tomatoes and capers, salad AFTER dinner, and gelatto from the awesome new futuristic A&P. We talked about such worldly, sophisticated things as which world cities we like best, which people we know from the same elite colleges... and which movies are good. I guess sophisitcated people still talk about movies. At least they don't talk about TV.
