So productive!

I sat down tonight and wrote all my 8th and 9th grade comments at a rate of about 10 minutes a piece! And this after procrastinating for three days. First of all, we really haven't done much in the winter term. It starts after Thanksgiving and before Christmas (always a productive time), and to complicate that we have Revels (a huge Christmas pageant). Then in January we have ERBs (standardized tests,) Martin Luther King Day, plus two early dismissals and two snow days, and in February we had two days off for a water main disaster, one snow day, and a five day break! Not to mention the sixth grade play. When was I supposed to be teaching?

Secondly, we had a meeting where all the teachers who were also parents said they liked comments to be short and to the point. So I followed their advice.

There's nothing like a nice easy game of solitaire after writing twelve comments... it's like a cigarrette after sex.
