3 Irish differences

1) The sinks- every single sink has two separate knobs and taps for hot and cold water. This means that warm water can only be gotten in the split second between cold and burning. I believe the mixing faucet was invented decades ago- do they actually like it this way better?
2) The streets- no one seems to mind people parking directly in the lane of travel. They just cross the center line to go around the parked cars. On the other hand, the highway has wide shoulders, and slow cars are supposed to pull into the shoulder to let a fast car pass them without crossing the center line. Side note: a speed zone is called a traffic calming.
3) The fried food- an Irish breakfast is fried bacon, fried black and white pudding, fried sausages, fried eggs, and just in case you wanted something healthy, a fried tomato. Statistic from Dave: 60% of Irish adults personally own a deep-fat fryer.
