bizarre unisex cults

Recently, between my house and the campus, I have been encountering these clusters of weirdly similar beings. All about 5'6" with trim, athletic bodies, blond or brown uniformly straightened hair, and matching skins (white T-shirts and jeans. multicolor evening wear. LBDs.) they engage in behaviors such as waiting outside other hives, chanting or singing (it's not a mating call; they appear only in single-sex groups), and walking in formation. Their leaders are distinguished only by different attire, as uniformity of physical form is of paramount importance. Threatening? Merely curiosities? Further investigation is warranted.
