I just got rid of a couch, microwave, broken dresser, 3 houseplants, tomato planter, bunch of VHS videotapes, and a pair of skis from Shelley my evil ex-roommate, on Craigslist in about ten minutes.

The Jewish part of me says, "that means that you didn't charge as much as you could! Supply and demand!" And then the non-Jewish side of me says, "People like getting free stuff, and you've gotten a lot of free stuff so you should keep spreading the good karma around! And why do you have to always be jewing everybody?"

Yeah, I'm fine with giving some things away free. I recouped my costs on the couch and microwave. I also have to deal with only 4 people to get rid of about 25 items, so that's nice. More room for the new house.
